The Department of  Modern Languages & Literatures of Manhattan College is sponsoring a Scholarship Competition Exam in French, Spanish and Italian. Students can take the exam in more than one language. If successful, participants will receive full or partial tuition for the four years of their Manhattan College career.

The competition is open to High School seniors who:

-Are applying for Fall 2013 admission to Manhattan College

-Have either 3.0 academic average on a 4-point scale or an 85 average on a 100-point scale

-Are planning to major in French or Spanish, or minor in Italian

-Are recommended, in writing, to take the competitive exam/s by their high school language teachers. Please email your recommendation to: marlene.gottlieb@manhattan.edu

 

The Event will be structured as follows:

9:00 -   9:30a.m. - Registration and light refreshments and coffee

                               Rotunda of Memorial Hall

9:30 -  10:00a.m. - Overview of the Exam and the Modern Languages and Literatures Department

                                Rodriguez Room

10:00 -11:00a.m. - Exam (students)

                               Classrooms in Miguel

10:00 -10:30a.m. - Admissions Presentation (parents)

                                Rodriguez Room 

11:00 -11:30a.m. - Wrap Up by the Modern Languages and Literatures Department

                               Rodriguez Room

11:30 -12:15p.m. - Campus Tours for those interested (students and parents)
